Christmas Hamper Challenge Update

Dec 4, 2020 | News

On Tuesday we packed the Christmas Hampers to share some love and good news with our local community.  Our hampers are really generous overflowing baskets which are fantastic for families in need.  Together with everyone’s donations, we packed 108 hampers (100 was our target) of almost $100 value each. We have already delivered out 70 hampers to different schools and organisations and more are on their way.  Each hamper has a Bible with a Christmas invitation. Thankyou to all who also donated money as we were able to go out and pickup some items that were in short supply to complete hampers.

As we deliver these out to schools, we have heard stories where families have recently lost parents and some even said “We weren’t going to do Christmas!” (due to a lack of money). For some families in extreme crisis, we have been able to give them some gift vouchers to purchase presents for their children. This helps restore dignity for them as a parent.
