Christmas Hamper Challenge

Nov 6, 2020 | News

In this year of Covid difficulty many families in our community are doing it tough.  Some have lost jobs or had hours reduced, some are struggling on multiple levels.
So in 2020 we want to create Christmas Hampers of hope that we are able to distribute to our local community though our local schools where the needs are most apparent to our chaplain partners. In our community we have seven state schools and Bremer High School with over 2100 students.  This year Christmas will not be so merry as families struggle to buy treats for Christmas or presents for children.
In each Christmas Hamper we supply through our network we want to include quality products and special treats for families that provide comfort and hope.  Each hamper will also include a new Good News Bible for the family with advertising for our Christmas services.

What we are asking you as part of Whitehill Church family is to look at the list below and buy a few items and donate them to our Christmas Hamper Challenge.  You might be challenged to make up your own basket – that is quite ok also.  Maybe you can join with another family or in your home group and go shopping together for items.  The list below is just an example of ideas – so let’s go shopping.
