“Volunteers Needed” for the Gingerbread Bash

Nov 5, 2021 | News

On Saturday the 4th of December from 6pm we will be holding a fun filled family Christmas event.

Each family will have an opportunity to build a gingerbread nativity scene as we share with them the true Christmas story.

We are expecting this to be a big night and are looking for people interested in helping out; either before, during and after.

Some of the jobs can be done beforehand either at church or at home and some help is just on the night.

We need:

* pray’ers, first and foremost, for this outreach opportunity

* bakers to help make the gingerbread and decorators to help cover cookies with fondant

* help decorating the hall

* people to set up and pack up the hall

* help to prepare and serve supper

* general help; packing kits beforehand, assistance on the night

We will be inviting over 100 families from our Playgroup, Mainly Music, Friday Night Kids and Kids Church programs, with more than half of them from the community. What an awesome opportunity we have to share with them the gospel and true reason for the Christmas season.

If you would like to be involved, either a little or a lot please email [email protected].

More information and details on how to register for the event will be available in next weeks newsletter and invitations to hand out to family, friends and neighbors are available to pick up in the foyer.

Thanks for your support of the Children and Families Ministry here at Whitehill.
