Whitehill Staff Update

Nov 6, 2020 | News

I am very excited, but also very sad to announce that I will be finishing my role as Youth Pastor here at Whitehill. I will continue to oversee the youth ministry until the end of the year and then continue to serve as a youth leader in 2021.

I have always been passionate about my Environmental work in threatened species, and have been offered a full-time position in this field. I was torn between my love for youth and growing and developing leaders, and my passion to work in the environment and minister to my co-workers there. After praying and working through this with friends and mentors, I felt that I needed to finish up my position as Youth Pastor and pursue my career in the environmental field. This was a very difficult decision for me, and not something I chose lightly. This role of Youth Pastor been the biggest blessing to me, particularly during all of the changes we have had this year.

In my time as a staff member at Whitehill I have found the greatest joy to be a part of the ministry team here. I have loved working alongside the staff members and our Youth leaders, as well as building deeper relationships with so many people in our community. I have learnt so much and grown deeper in so many areas of my life. I know that God has used this time for His glory, as he does with all things. I have loved seeing our leadership team grow in so many ways, and am so proud of them all for their amazing work, particularly in this crazy year we have had. I would like to thank the staff at Whitehill for being so loving and encouraging, for making this journey one of growth and lots of laughter. I would love if you would support our Youth team through praying with us as we lead young people to know and love Jesus.
